I've been buying this fishing line for years now I use it for leader material it's softer the knot tie a lot better best part of it you have a lot of line it will last you a while and yes it works just as good as the harder leader line you may have to change it a little more often but it is worth it 30 pound Berkley vanish is great

You can find flourocarbon line that just about needs to be purchased on the installment plan. Is it better than vanish? Not from what I have seen. Berkley Vanish is true flourocarbon line at a price that we can all afford. I have been using it extensively for the past two years. I piece varying thicknesses together for fly fishing leaders as well use it as my go to line for both spinning and casting reels. Overall, the line performs extraordinarily well in all applications. Sensitivity is superb and castability is equally awesome. There are a ton of discussions out on the web debating the best overall knot to use on flourocarbon line. I have found that the ultra simple Davy knot works just fine. I have yet to lose a fish using this knot.
