This vacuum has a powerful suction. You can use it on carpet, tile or hardwood. I don't have animals inside my home, but it's great to vacuum the dog and cat hair off the outdoor cushions. The tangle free brush roller works great so hair doesn't get tangled up. The battery fully charges in 4 hours. It is easy to assemble, and I like it being cordless so I can take it anywhere.
