The 1/2 gallon size Mason Jars are good for sugar, flour, oats, and pasta storage. The only draw back - that I didn't think of before ordering - is that the top/mouth of the jar is about the standard size. I haven't tried to scoop anything out yet, but I'll have to modify my ways...
