I think all of us have used a tarp before - laid it flat on the yard, shoved a pile of leaves on top, then pulled the edges together as best we could to hold the leaves in the middle. This yard bag is basically a premade version of exactly that! The material is the same as the heavy duty blue tarps. The seams are very sturdy, and all of the edges seem quite secure. I initially thought it was going to be smaller than I anticipated from the picture, but it's actually quite large - probably the volume of about half my yard waste trash can. The handles are very sturdy, and are long enough to be easy to hold even if the bag is full. This is a great yard bag!
