We diabetics have very limited range of store packaged food items as most everything, aside from fresh meats and produce, have all types of processed sugars and added chemicals for flavor and longer life. Gluten free products are ample. Bodies crave and most palates need a ying and yang between savory and occasionally some snack with sweet taste of which there are now plant extracted sugar replacements. Russell Stover has a pleasant variety of candies, especially chocolate covered without sugar. However, personally I confine to eating no more than two small pieces at a time and only a couple of times per week at the very most, but then I follow with sugarless beverage especially water, or precede snacking with high fiber savory food choices. Total deprivation, at least for me, causes the discipline of a restricted diet plan to become very shortlived. Thus at least a sugarless version enjoyed just occasionally has not interfered with weight loss and avoidance of undesirable sugar spikes.
