Nintendo has done it again. Tears of the Kingdom isn't just a sequel to Breath of the Wild—it's a bold evolution of everything that made its predecessor a modern classic. From the moment you descend from the floating islands above Hyrule, it's clear this game is something special. The expanded world is jaw-droppingly beautiful and richer than ever. The addition of the sky and underground realms adds verticality and depth to exploration in a way that feels both fresh and seamlessly integrated. The level design is incredibly thoughtful, rewarding curiosity and experimentation at every turn. But the real star here is the new mechanics—Fuse, Ascend, and Ultrahand. These aren't just gimmicks; they completely change how you interact with the world. Crafting makeshift vehicles, solving puzzles in unorthodox ways, and combining weapons in hilarious or brilliant combinations gives the player unmatched creative freedom. The story is darker, more emotional, and far more layered. Zelda and Link feel more human, their journey more meaningful. And the music? Absolutely haunting. It subtly shapes the tone of each region and encounter with a quiet brilliance. Tears of the Kingdom is a rare kind of game—one that respects your intelligence, encourages your imagination, and leaves a lasting impression long after the credits roll. Multiple award winner, including 2023 Game Of The Year. If you liked Breath of the Wild, then chances are high that you'll like Tears of the Kingdom. The story takes place several years after the events in Breath of the Wild. Princess Zelda has disappeared. Link is on a quest to find her. Game mechanics are the same (like weapons that break) and Link acquires different skills this time around. One ability allows you to fuse items to your weapons and shields, which is especially awesome. Creativity pays off in this game. The game has 3 layers - underground, floating islands and the familiar Hyrule landscape. I haven't stopped playing (physical, Switch 1 version) since it was delivered 8 days ago. There is a LOT to explore. Tears of the Kingdom is huge, fun and suitable for pretty much all ages. Two thumbs up.
