I had this in my cart for months, because it was discounted from $100 to ~$40 and I eventually got it. I was looking for a boom-arm compatible microphone (like this one) I could move out of my way when not in use. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of this HyperX. Never knew about this brand, had zero expectations. Use the HyperX software for this thing, update it, and you should be pleased. I'm gonna say this is amateur podcast worthy if you get a pop filter for it. If you didn't know, cardioid (polar) pattern microphones like this listen for your voice in the front 270-degrees and the back 90-degrees around it block out sound from your speakers behind it. That's my use case here. note: the anti-vibration elastic strings are super important if you have this on a boom-arm like I do. Especially for those who type aggressively haha. Additionally, I had bought this so I can stop wearing headphones 24/7 while working without worrying about microphone/speaker feedback problems on video calls. This solved that issue/concern
