Stella Rosa Naturals Black Non-Alcoholic Semi-Sweet Wine, 750ml Glass Bottle, Piedmont, Italy, Serving Size 5oz

I received a bottle as a Christmas gift. I do not know my way around wines although I have sampled many. I have ended up preferring a simple Merlot without anything added, (i.e. wood, spices, etc.). I anticipated a relaxing glass of wine when I read the label. I thought, "low-alcohol, why bother with any at all if it is not enough to influence the flavor?" I had not tried "low-alcohol" wine which is what my bottle's label said. First mistake was not peeling off the seal and using a corkscrew because I did not realize it was a twist-off cap. Second mistake was expecting it to taste like regular wine. Upon taking my first taste I was pleasantly surprised. It was not like any wine I had ever had. To me it was like finding a POM (pomegranate juice) competitor with superior flavor. It tasted the way pomegranate juice should taste, fruity sweet without bitterness. There was also a slight carbonation to it and I recalled hearing the gas release when I broke the cap seal. Then I paid attention to "sparkling" on the label. So this isn't truly a wine to me, it is more of a very very very good tasting fruit juice and I plan on having it in my frig. regularly.
