Preparation: Put on rubber gloves if you prefer to keep your hands protected from germs and cleaning agents. Ensure you have proper ventilation in the bathroom by opening a window or turning on the exhaust fan. If desired, apply a toilet bowl cleaner to the inner surface of the toilet bowl. Allow it to sit for a few minutes according to the cleaner's instructions. This will help break down stains and make the cleaning process more effective. Retrieve the Toilet Brush: Take the toilet brush from its holder or storage location. Most toilet brushes have a long handle with bristles on one end. Scrubbing: Gently insert the toilet brush into the toilet bowl, making sure to reach all areas, including under the rim and around the edges. Use a back-and-forth or circular motion to scrub the inner surface of the toilet bowl. Apply moderate pressure to remove any stains, dirt, or residue. Focus on Stubborn Stains: For stubborn stains, you might need to spend extra time scrubbing and possibly use a bit more pressure. The bristles of the toilet brush should help to dislodge and remove these stains. Under the Rim: Pay special attention to cleaning under the rim of the toilet bowl. This area is often overlooked but can accumulate mineral deposits and bacteria.
