Great Value Sharp Cheddar Finely Shredded Cheese, 5 lb Bag

It's perfectly good cheese. i use for mac and cheese, casseroles, sandwiches, melting on soups and garlic bread, anything. It might not be super sharp, but it's convenient to have a huge bag of it sitting in the fridge. I sometimes cut it with some other cheeses (parmesan, gruyere, tart goat cheese etc) to add a little extra zing.

My favorite thing about this cheese is the size of the shreds. They are thick enough that I can put 2 or 3 shreds in my mouth and actually taste the cheese. I love that I can chew up 3 or 4 shreds and feel like I actually got a bite of cheese. I love the size of the shreds, their texture, and their flavor. This is one of my most frequent purchases. It is great to use on tossed garden salad. That and some great value real bacon pieces sprinkled on top of my salads is one of my favorite things to eat. I add shredded cheese to just about anything I eat. I try to eat very low carb meals and this cheese can make anything more tasty without adding a lot of carbs to my meal. There are only 2 g of carbohydrates in 1/4 cup of this cheese. That is enough to add flavor to almost anything.
