I know folks hate on MG due to gnat issues that can occur. Use Mosquito Bit tea to treat and prevent fungus gnats and keep all your soil mixes in airtight storage bins. ANY soil mix can have gnat larvae. As far as the product is concerned, I have tried several different orchid mixes and this one rocks every time. A little more on the "soil" side of a mix, but my plants seem to love that. I use it for all my phalenopsis orchids, and mix it with more spaghum moss for my jewel orchids, or blended with Groundswell (or any other preferred soil mix) for my aroids. Lovely clean smell, and rich with the various components needed for proper growth. It's the only MG product I use. Oh....I also use it for my rockwork sedums or anything that begs for a super chunky soil. Pics: orchids with MG, two are rescues from the Nursery
