Great taste and firm texture. Fried (covered) to nicely-browned in a bit of canola oil, and...'simply delicious'. At a half-inch, a bit too thick for sandwiches, it's perfect as a ham steak. I also broke some into small chunks and added them to pork-flavored Ramen. I can honestly say I've never had better. It's almost like ultra-thick bacon, but without the fat. Be warned...if you're a salt-a-phobe, this is not for you.

Totally impressed. Great Value was substituted for the brand of ham steak I have always bought. Goodness gracious it was delicious with no chemical taste. I skillet grilled it for a few on each side, perfection. Hopefully my store will continue to stock this ham steak.

Best Bone In Hamsteak!
This was the best bone in hamsteak ive ever had. Everyone that ate it asked me what butcher shop i got it at. Thick, flavorful and tender. I purchased 4 more for Christmas dinner and plan to cook them in place of a whole ham. Each one weighed about 2lbs. You wont b disappointed if you try this.
