The Number of Potatoes Being Baked Does Not Change Cooking Time. Pierce One Potato Several Times to Allow Steam to Escape. Place In Microwave On High (100% Power), Until Tender, Turning Potato Over Half Way. For Medium Size Potato (Around Five Ounces), Microwave For 31/2 to 41/2 Minutes. For Larger Potatoes (About Nine Ounces), Microwave 5 to 9 Minutes.

I didn't know you could buy a bag of jumbo potatoes. Maybe it's a new thing, or maybe I just never noticed. It was nice to have big potatoes for baking instead of baking a whole bunch of smaller ones, or having to buy the big, baking potatoes separately. Now I can bake one, cut it in half, add whatever toppings I want, and I've got lunch ready for 2 days at work.

I was privileged to review these very same branded Jumbo Russet Potatoes about 2 months ago and I have rhem a glowing 10 Review. That's how good they were then. This Review only earns them a 3 overall. The "fresh dug smell" I carried on about was nowhere around. These Jumbo Potatoes were also smaller than before. In this bag alone, I have found Potato with a grub hole, 3 with pitchfork holes in them, and 5 of the Potatoes looked slightly witheted. After saying all this, I have to admit I have a bag in my cart waiting to be purchased. They wind up being bigger than all the rest...perfect for wrapping in foil and throwing them on rhe grill.

These are normal sized potatoes, not jumbo. I normally buy the regular 5 lb bag of russet potatoes and get a little tired of peeling all the small potatoes to make mashed potatoes. So, thought I'd try the “jumbo” russets in the 8 lb bag. Yes, they are bigger than the ones in the 5 lb bag, but really just normal sized potatoes. If you truly want jumbo, try the big box stores.
