Life saving food- long important review

This brand of food literally saved my cats life. She started having diarrhea about 2 years ago. The vet has done over $4000 worth of testing and we’ve tried every type of prescription food, probiotic, and prescription meds including weekly painful shots to try and help her. In the two years time, between vet bills, all the other specialty items, we have spent over $12,000 trying to help her and NOTHING worked. One day I saw the packet food of this brand and thought she may like something different so I bought a few and would consult the vet. A week of waiting and we ran out of the prescription food (out of stock), so no choice, I fed her the purple tummy food. They also had the treat for tummy sticks back then so I bought it also and gave her that between her two wet feedings. I noticed she hadn’t went poo for the first half of the day (her normal 4 times before noon didn’t happen) after her treatment stick I went to clean the box and she hadn’t done her first solid poo in over two years!. And again a solid before bed. I fed her that food for the three days we were out of the other food and she hadn’t done all solid normal BMs. The vet assumed that whatever had been wrong must have corrected itself. Her prescription food ($92 for 5lb bag) came and she hadn’t done that (hard kibble) and I gave her the IaLaY wet food once a day. No more than two hours in and she hadn’t done mushy BMs, by the next day back to diarrhea. Our stores only had the pouch food at the time and she likes the hard food in between her wet food (spoiled cat) consulted vet and he said he didn’t think it was the food, just a fluke. Contacted several other vets and they said the same. Since she hadn’t done so many tests and all were perfect, they said it couldn’t be anything else except nerve, so suggested kitty Prozac. So we bought the feelaway diffusers - no help. Then agreed to the kitty nerve pills. No help at all there either except now she was upset about having to take a pill, so we stopped. The vet said she was old and it was probably just time to think about ending her apparent misery instead of letting her suffer. I don’t agree. I told my husband to not give her any food at all and I was going to try something. I went back to all IaLaY food and yep, back to solids. So the vet then said that maybe she wasn’t digesting the hard food correctly and it was the issue. That she needed the kidney prescription food so to just wet it to make it a wet food. Did that and back to diarrhea. So I said forget the vet and I went online and found that they do have kibble (hard food) as well. I ordered it since it’s not sold in any store near me, as well as ordered more of the bag foods, can foods, and treats. She hasn’t had diarrhea since. Figured out it’s the grains and additives that caused it all. She turned 13 this month.

Would recommend!

I have a picky Siamese who hasn’t really been a wet food fan since she was a kitten, but she actually seems to like this stuff. She doesn’t have a problem finishing a can of this a day, and the can sizes are appropriate portions to mix with her dry food. For a brand sold at Walmart, this stuff isn’t that bad 🤷🏼‍♀️
