I am allergic to many bugs, spiders and fire ants being the worst. After a bite I need to take Benadryl with the hopes that it will stop an acute reaction. Benadryl reduces the swelling and itching at the site and makes me feel better. If not for Benadryl I would probably have to use the EpiPen and go to the ER. I highly recommend Benadryl for allergic attacks and to help me sleep afterwards.
