BROAN 30" Stainless Steel Splash Plates SP3004 Stainless Steel

the staineless steel backspash was bent on one edge and a bend in it. i think the stove cover it.just a problem to return. i don't think Fed.x did it.

We have a Broan QP430SS hood and chose the SP3004 stainless steel panel to have a matching stainless steel backsplash below the hood and behind the cooktop. We wanted a backsplash that was easy to clean and without grout lines. We chose a CaesarStone quartz countertop and we chose a cooktop with wall oven (to place oven away from cooktop which is opposite dishwasher). The 24" height of the stainless steel panel may be long enough to go from under hood to behind the top of a range, but with a cooktop mounted in the counter the 24" height was too short, so we decided to have a 4 3/4" backsplash of the CaesarStone all around to make stainless steel panel fit (and also to be able to mount outlets in CaesarStone backsplash instead of cutting them into the glass tile) Countertops, backsplash, and Broan QP430SS were all installed before the SP3004 stainless steel panel. Not sure if it was the vent hood specs that were off or if the SP3004 was a fraction longer than 24", but it didn't fit in the space that it should have & kitchen contractor had to send the panel out to be cut down to fit. Stainless steel matches the stainless steel of the hood, but is not finger-print proof and is a bit tricky to keep looking nice. I like the concept, but our kitchen contractors had some trouble mounting the panel (not smoothly and flatly adhered to surface) that they tried to fix. I also wish that the panel came in a longer length to accommodate folks who want to use it as backsplash between counter-mounted cooktop and vent hood instead of behind a range.
