Instructions
Baking Directions: Do not prepare in microwave or toaster oven. 1. Preheat oven to 375F. Remove plastic wrapper from pie. 2. Bake pie on cookie sheet in center of oven 70 to 80 minutes. Pie is fully baked when knife inserted in the center comes out clean, outside edge of filling is firm and center is slightly domed. Carefully remove as product will be hot. 3. Check that pie is cooked thoroughly. Internal temperature needs to reach 165F as measured by a food thermometer in several spots. 4. Let cool. Pie will slice and serve most easily when cooled at least 2 hours. Marie's Baking Tip: If edges of pie begin to brown excessively, cover edges with a strip of aluminum foil and continue baking.

I heated oven to 375°, then turned it down to 350,° I cooked the pie for about 15 minutes, then put aluminum foil on the crust ONLY, cause I didn't want hard crust,then cooked an additional 25 minutes...it came out perfect!! I didn't need to cook it for 60 minutes as it called for or it would of been burnt!!

The real thing
I have baked about 5 of these previously. Always more flavor and nicer home made texture than mass produced pumpkin pies from supermarket bakeries that sit around who knows how long. Just follow the instructions, no prep or thawing to do. Walmart's every day price on these is competitive. Makes your kitchen smell heavenly. 36 oz is full sized for sharing. Please recycle the pan and box.

Double check your pie
This pie is great when your local Walmart doesn't let it completely thaw and melt, and run to one side of the packaging, then put it back in the freezer to solidify, and then sell it to you like that. Understand, the pie was re-frozen on its side so that all the contents were in one half of the tin. I'm guessing a customer changed their mind about the pie and some employee thought it was easier to just put a defrosted pie back in the freezer, which is lazy, cheap, negligent and dangerous. The employee should've counted the pie as a loss rather than let some unsuspecting customer buy this. Shout out to Gerber in Sacramento! You guys are doing great!
