Disappointed.
I picked up one of these to replace a failed dusk-to-dawn light in my driveway. I don't have a smart home hub but this item allows you to operate it with an Android device like a smartphone or tablet. The problem is that it requires a quite recent version of Android... my newest devices have Android 7 Nougat but this requires at least Android 8 Oreo. I couldn't even install the app... even sideloading failed. The only solutions are to buy either a smarthome hub or a new phone or tablet to operate a $20 light bulb. Nope. It's going back.
