Ego Cs1804 18In. Cordless Chain Saw Kit

I was skeptical, I admit. A battery operated chainsaw? Color me surprised! Not only is it light enough to perform small tasks like trimming or cleaning up after a storm, it has the power to take on the whole tree. Would I recommend it for those all day firewood cutting days when I was a kid, maybe. It has all the performance you could ever want but the battery with it will get you about one 10-12” tree before you're reaching for a new battery or a recharge. That said, if you are in the EGO ecosystem then you're set. A word to the wise, watch the chain oil. It oils a little heavier than a traditional chainsaw but since you don't have refueling to bother with, you have no prompt to check it. Bottom line: if this saw broke I would go straight grab a new one without hesitation.

Amazing! I have owned many chainsaws through out my life. Husqvarna, Stihl, even craftsman. None of these hold a candle to what this saw can do. Instant torque and quiet. . If you are a home owner this is what I would buy. Now that being said if you are in the business of cutting down trees for a living I don't think the battery technology is quite there to keep up with demand of cutting 8 hours a day.
