once it's on, it's on
i give 4 stars because these do hold very very well. another user noted they ruined her painting....if you need to re-position anything you are in for a struggle to separate the velcro. i also began ripping the canvas from the back of the frame trying to pull it back off the wall and ended up pulling a chunk of drywall off instead. if you have something you want to stick and stay put this is great - just make sure you stick it right the first time cause it don't want to go anywhere afterwards.
