    It is just a cable, but it works just fine so far. The ends snapped into the keyboard cord and holds it decently well, lots of tugging might unhook them, but moving and normal use slight tugs do not seem to unhook the connection; and 6' is perfect for getting my keyboard across the living room, which is what I needed it for.
