This knife is part of Spyderco's Salt Series of knives made from nitrogen based alloys instead of carbon based alloys. The H-1 steel in the Ladybug 3 will not rust since the carbon in the steel has been eliminated making it "Rustproof" H-1 steel remains 100% rust free and also holds a sharp cutting edge. The Ladybug 3 is available in a SpyderEdge or PlainEdge configuration. The FRN handle has had bi-directional texturing for an almost slip resistant grip. It comes in bright yellow so that it can easily be found on land or in water.
