Through the Spark Reviewer program, I have received the Razor Basilisk gaming mouse. This mouse has a boatload of features that you never even imagine that might be useful for daily use, especially a gamer. When you place it in your hand the first thing you notice is the weight is well balanced. Its design is genius, it fits almost perfectly into my hands. I'll say hands are about average. Holding onto the Basilisk mouse is very comfortable. There is also an app for your computer (free download) so that many adjustments to your liking, including the L.E.D. lighting effects
Many profiles can be created. It has a USB connector, many computers have this connection type. The box says it has a true 16,000 D.P.I. optical sensor. Awesome, no dirty or dusty scroll balls here. This new Basilisk mouse is very, very smooth to operate and control. At the bottom of the mouse is a resistance +/- wheel for adjustment to the scroll wheel. There is a profile bottom located down there as well. This allows the user to switch between profiles on the fly. For example, the switching between gaming settings and report writing needs. On the top, there are two small buttons just after the scroll wheel and between the right and left selection buttons. To the left, there are two buttons within reach of the thumb. The design is about convenience and control. Now just below the two thumb buttons is a removable clutch D.P.I. clutch (this is programmable and also removable. Yes, I do recommend this product, it is well designed and of very quality. This mouse also offers 1000Hz ultrapolling.
