GE 30 inch OvertheRange Microwave Oven OnOff & 2Speed 300 CFM Venting in Slate

Great product, the only difference between this ge microwave and our old ge microwave is this one seems to take a little longer to heat this up.

The JM3160DF4BB that I installed in Dec 2018 lasted until Dec 2025. Before the magnetron failed, it worked fine other than the beeper being too loud (which I addressed by putting a dab of hot glue over the speaker component's emitter hole), a latch that caused the breaker to blow when the door was opened while the microwave was running (which I bypassed), a broken handle (which I replaced), and the digital display losing about half of its elements (hard to read). I was disappointed to discover that this JVM3160DF9BB was incompatible with the rear bracket and the top mounting holes, presenting an unexpected inconvenience. The unit feels lighter and less sturdy, with a flimsier door and smaller diameter carousel, despite sharing the 1.6 cu. ft. rating. The front panel button labels are slightly easier to see and the ventilation fan works well. The central incandescent bulb casts far less light on the cook top than the two incandescent bulbs flanking the previous model, so I transplanted one of those to help as shown in the photos. Other differences are subtle. I hope this one lasts as long.
