Streamlined design

GE Profile is a great choice for a microwave because of all the features it has and how it works so well to heat and defrost food. My only issue is that the key pad is black and not backlit. I cannot see the keys very well. Wish the company considers adding that as an on-off feature. Probably bought this because my previous one lasted 10 years.

Good simple GE unit for what my needs were

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The microwave is sufficient for my needs and is a no frills unit with one year warranty. I find it operating well now. Surprised that GE can only warrant their product will last a year. The unit required a new trim kit and carpentry work as my former 3 year old GE Microwave Cafe series failed after the warranty date whose the dimensions were larger.

What to do when you care as much about the "look"

We replaced this microwave with another one of the same model. It was such a wonderful opportunity as our first one was framed and installed fairly high above the kitchen pantry. The effort for the install was very easy. Thankfully, we were able to mic our food and still maintain a very nice decor.
