Ge Profile Pp9830 30" Wide 4 Burner Electric Cooktop - Black

This is my second glass downdraft cooktop, so I knew what to look for in the new one. This GE version has everything I was looking for! It features non-electronic dials located in the lower center area of the cooktop, which is a great change from the electronic push buttons I had used. The electronic push buttons had been problematic in my prior cooktop, to say the least. Also, the downdraft grate is shorter, yet provides a stronger "suck," which is very helpful when you fry something with a distinct smell. The controls work perfectly, and the burners respond as they should. NOTE: Be mindful of how you clean up the cooktop after you cook. Do not use a razor of any kind to scrape off food remnants as it will definitely scratch the surface. Instead, use any brand of creamy glass cooktop cleaner and a sponge. So far, this is an excellent choice for a downdraft cooktop. Check it out!

Our previous GE cooktop that needed replaced was 25 years old. It worked beautifully all that time, no problems or issues. It finally wanted to retire :) I would recommend GE appliances to anyone, in fact I have through the years and will continue to do so. Thanks GE!
