The basting brushes are your standard natural-handle, bristle sauce brushes youd pick up for basting bbq over the grill. I was amazed at the quality. When I saw them I thought they were disposable, but they were surprisingly easy to clean after using for bbq sauce. I used them for saucing/basting bbq ribs, and for basting chicken kebabs with liquid bacon fat. I liked how sturdy and strong they were. The handles fit nicely in my palm. I had good control. The bristles held the barbecue sauce and melted bacon fat well. I got a good even coating. I felt like I had more control with these brushes than the newer silicone brushes. Overall, they were very easy to clean and use. They get the job done whether youre using a thick sauce or something very runny. One reason why I stopped using natural bristles is because they get caught on the food. However, I did not have that problem with these brushes. My ribs and kebabs were bristle-free. The brushes came in a pack of three: one medium size and two small size. Wooden handle with soft bristles. I used them to baste meat on the grill. The bristles held a nice amount of the baste as I dipped and brushed on the meat. The bristles were of various lengths which I think helped it to hold the basting liquid. It brushed smoothly on the meat that I was grilling. The small size was easy to handle.
