I was able to catch one mouse with these traps. I knew I had at least 2 mice in my garage, so I was hoping the other one would manage to get caught soon after the first. Well, when I checked the trap, it had droppings on top and around it, but no mouse was caught! Another trap I had set went off on its own. They are extremely sensitive to movement, so setting them can be tricky. You almost have to set the trap on the floor first and then twist it to set. Twisting it first and then setting down tends to set it off by just the movement. They are easy to bait…I suggest peanut butter and some sunflower seeds. They are pretty cheap in price, so I don't feel bad throwing them out if they have been sitting for too long with nothing caught. I do not want to rebait an old trap with new peanut butter, so I just throw it out and replace with new ones. They do the job for the most part. And you don't have to see the actual mouse to dispose of it. The red signal allows you to know if it's not set or if something is caught. The green signal shows that it is still set with nothing caught soon the indicators are right on top so when checking, you don't even have to pick it up. Just simply look at the top of the trap to see what the indicators reads. Pretty easy peasy. Great to place anywhere that you know mice are active, especially against walls or in corners.
