Love it
I found The Amana 12,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner to be quite powerful. I use it in my bedroom, it not only gets cold quickly but keeps my room cool. I love the convenience of having a remote control that also has a timer. The window attachment fits perfectly and It is not too loud and does not interrupt our sleep.

Blows cold air
This portable air conditioner blows cold air. It is fairly quiet and efficient for the small office space I’m using it in. I like that it is portable so if my home AC went out and I needed this unit to cool a bedroom or small room until I could get my unit repaired, it will be sufficient. It has a remote control which is nice. It has an internal condensation reservoir that alerts you when it needs to be emptied. It can also be used as a dehumidifier. It comes with everything you need to get set up.

Portable Air Conditioner
I am writing a review on the portable air conditioner by Amana. I hope you can see by my picture that this is an upright air conditioner that is on wheels, this is not an air conditioner that you can put in a window. Now having said that you will have to vent the air conditioner to a window and if you can also see in the picture there is a window insert panel and a vent hose to do this with. You also need to know that you cannot plug this unit into an extension cord, you need a dedicated single circuit only three prong plug. This unit also comes with a remote control and they have included two AAA batteries. The remote allows you to set the mode, timer, swing, fan plus you can switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius and the on and off power, it also has a good size LCD display for easy reading. On top of the unit itself you have a display screen, timer, fan, up and down, mode, power. In the mode setting you have cool, dehumidifier and fan. One other thing I found very nice is that the air filters can be removed and vacuumed off for light cleaning or you can wash the filter with warm soapy water then let it dry then you put it back into the unit. This is a really nice unit and it is good size, it stands about 2 1/2 ft tall and it is heavy so I am very thankful it is on wheels. I haven't got to use it alot yet since it is still cool here but just trying it out I am really impressed and I'm excited to start using this daily as soon as summer kicks in.
