DeWalt Genuine OEM Replacement Trimmer Head and Line # DWO1DT995

The concept of this is great. I have the 20V trimmer with the old head, and it drives me nuts to wind the thing manually. When this came out, I was super excited to get it. Unfortunately, there are like . . . six of these in the entire US, so I had to order mine from a dealer in NC (I'm in Ohio). I was really excited when it arrived. The feeding isn't as smooth as I was hoping, but it works. Unfortunately, it's not usable. Attempting to "bump" it only results in nothing happening, or even worse, the string actually *retracting* into the head. If that happens, good luck fixing it without unwinding the entire spool because of how the internal design is. It's a great concept, but the execution just sucks. From the other reviews on this, it looks like I'm not alone in my thoughts. So disappointing. Probably going back to the old head.

I just bought a 60v brushless weed whipper. The head used on it is the most useless yard tool I have ever encountered. I have done my lawn about 3 times, the plastic has already broken on the face. I have done nothing but regular residential use. Not sure what to do, the trimmer itself is great but this “quick load” spool head is an epic fail.
