TCL 8,000 BTU Wifi Enabled Energy Star Window Air Conditioner; Black

I love this air conditioner. It's quiet and it has some excellent features, like that I can use my cell phone to control it. It also has so many different settings so you can set it up the way you want. The remote is so handy especially if you're in bad and don't want to get up. If you need a A/C unit get this one. It's great!!

The TLC 8000 BTU Window Air Conditioner is great for larger rooms. It replaced a smaller 5000 BTU unit in our bedroom. While we have Central Heat and Air, living in Central Florida, I have found that keeping the Central Air Conditioning set a bit higher, and using window units to spot cool some rooms is more energy efficient. This coupled with the fact that during summer months we are often plagued by power outages after summer Storms or the dreaded hurricanes, our portable generator can power our necessitates, and in a Florida summer, having some kind of AC is a real necessity. The TLC 8000 BTU Window Air Conditioner runs very quiet and efficiently, when we first tried it in conjunction with the Central Air, set at 76 degrees, we turned the TLC 8000 all the way down to the coldest setting. I was amazed at how quickly the TLC 8000 BTU dropped the temperature in the master bedroom, so much o that it was necessary to turn the settings up to keep it from being too cold. On average we like to keep the room temperature down to 68 degrees when sleeping, now I don't know if the thermostat on the old window unit was faulty, or if the poor old thing just couldn't get the master bedroom down to 68 degrees, but the TLC 8000 set at 68 degrees, is almost too cold. The remote control that comes with the TLC 8000, is very handy, however, I found that trying to set uo the WIFI controls on my phone to be a real pain. The application is not written very well and the instructions are confusing. In the end I gave up and deleted the app. That is about the only negative I have found about the unit.
