The Design House Moderno Entry Handleset is finished in matte black and works on both left- and right-hand doors. It fits the two most common door setups in the U.S.—2-3/4-inch and 2-3/8-inch backsets (that’s the space from the edge of the door to the center of the hole). The latch bolt has a 1/2-inch throw, and the deadbolt has a 1-inch throw—both are nickel-plated and stay firmly in place. For safety, the outside uses a key and the inside uses a turn-button knob. This type of handleset is great for front or back doors. It fits most standard doors that are 1-3/8 to 1-3/4 inches thick. It also comes with a 1-inch by 2-1/4-inch faceplate with rounded corners and a 5-pin high-security core that can be removed.
