Edelbrock Single SBC Etec-200 Head Comp

Everything was shipped very fast. When i recieved the heads, i inspected them and found a few things. The helicoils for the rocker studs were sticking into the intake ports. This concerned me so i removed the valves to get a better look at them. I ended up finding one of the installation tabs for the helicoil was still attached. So i took a small screw driver and poked at it. The second i touched it, it fell off. These heads are suppose to be bolt on right out of the box. If i had done that, my new motor would have been ruined by the helicoil installation tab that wasnt removed during assembly. Also since i had the valves out, i decided to inspect them. Nice valves except they arent lapped in. I expected them to be lapped. I did find 1 valve that was lapped, but the matching seat was not. Why would that be? Seems like they mixed up some parts during the assembly process. So i wasnt too happy to see these simple but possibly catastrophic ssues with these edelbrock e-tec 200 heads. Edelbrock needs to take a good look at their quality control department and make some changes if they want my business again.
