Quiet yet powerful

I bought the standalone trimmer a couple of weeks ago and I have to say it's an absolute beast in overgrown weeds. For those complaining about the balance you absolutely need a big battery to hold the back down. I use a DCB612 battery and it balances perfectly for trimming. The string that comes in the spool is the stuff I wish I had trimming a golf course, hard wearing and easy cutting. Only downside is the head rotates counterclockwise and covers you in debris.

Great little trimmer.

I purchased this trimmer 5 years ago, a ND sadly the motor seized from a bad bearing. I absolutely love this trimmer. I didn't just weedeat with it but I used it in place of a pushmower. So I got 5 years out of it but it was more like 10 with all the time I put on it. I purchased the tool by itself as my husband and I have so many dewalt tools. 2 drill, driver sets, grinder, sanders, miter saw, circular saw, reciprocating saw, multi tool, I could go on. I even have a canister vacuum and Bluetooth speaker. When you buy dewalt you know it's going to be good.

Awesome Trimmer

Had a gas trimmer and I had always praised gas but decided to give this trimmer a shot and I was very surprised with the power and quiet running. Very easy to put together and very light compared to a gas trimmer. I have several Dewalt products and I have never been let down by any of them. Switching from gas to battery was one of the smartest things I've done. I would recommend this product to anyone and is so easy that anyone could use it. And the two speeds are nice also. I used the low speed and had plenty of power. Please continue to produce great tools.
