This pond pump moves the water thoroughly within the pond. I used this pump in a small pond about 5000 gallons. It provides good circulation eliminating stagnant water. The spout can be angled in any direction you wish to move the water. You can also attach a hose to the spout to create a waterfall or fountain. The cage can be opened for cleaning. The pump runs quietly and efficiently. The cord is xtra long to reach your outlet. There is a built in handle around the case of the pump making it easy to carry. It is made very solid and sturdy. I feel that this is a well made item that will last a long time.

I finally received this item a few days ago but unfortunately, it was too late to install it properly due to repeated heavy frosts and 20 degree temperatures in Michigan. However, since I could not install it in our pond/fountain, I set it up in our basement and operated it in our laundry tub to ensure that it worked properly. Everything seemed to work properly with an excellent flow rate. It appears to be very well constructed and "heavy duty". I can't wait for spring to set it up outside in our flower garden and pond area.
