Caught this item on sale which makes the purchase all the sweeter. Our dog is 45 pounds and tall ( long legs). We were concerned about the door height on the up to 55 pound size. Our dog goes in and out the door with no issues and can fully stand up inside. This dog house looks smal, but is very roomy inside.

Have tried a few different dog houses and while they were good these are over all the best and worth the higher price... very durable, extended entryway is great for creating a more secure space inside to protect against the elements, and the lip on the entryway helps to keep straw inside the dog house in winter instead of it spilling out

Our second xlarge for our new Pyrenees dog. The house is pretty big, maybe too big as the dog is 90lb but that's what the other pooch has and i wanted them to match. Solid design, easy to clean, unfortunately no attachment points for the mats but that's a seperate review on the mats.
