Ziploc Brand Gallon Slider Storage Bags, School Supplies, with Power Shield Technology, 40 Count

They do what they are supposed to. I got a cheaper brand and will not do that again. Pretty much because they are hard to seal shut. These Ziplocks work with ease and I never have to worry about putting something in the freezer only to find it with freezer burn because it didn't quite close. I store so much in the gallon size because the opening and total size allows for all kinds of things. I used to take freshly bought meat out of the package it comes in and wrap it first with Saran wrap then foil before putting in freezer. Now I can put the whole thing packaging and all in one of these and zip it. Best part is they can be used over again without having to rinse them out. Only with fish I usually use the bag to put all the trash in and seal it before throwing it away. If it stays in the house there is no smell from the garbage. I don't advise this be done often because of the amount of plastic wasted but sometimes it seems needed. What ever did I do 40 years ago? We were better people then and cared about the environment more. That is why I will say please try to find things made for snacks and freezers that are more ecologically friendly. I know that (Japan?) has come up with a plastic that dissolves in water over a relatively short amount of time instead of building up into a trash island. Sorry this is getting long. I always buy this brand because they are easy to open but the last box I got was defective. The plastic on nearly every bag was not sealed so there was an opening below the zipper making them unusable. I bought the quart size at the same time and no issues. Will take my chances though and buy again.
