ZLINE 42 in. Professional Island Mount Range Hood in Stainless Steel (KECOMi-42)

I've had this up and running for several weeks now outdoors over my barbecue. It's fantastic and does exactly what it needs to. I We are in the process of some outdoor updating, and our bbq has ended up completely covered, which meant we would have to hang an island mount vent over it. We were concerned that the bulk of the vent would obscure the view from one side of the patio to the other. Instead, this vent has become a focal point in the project and looks beautiful! And it's rated for outdoors which was difficult to find. Our contractor had no issues installing it, and it arrived via freight in great shape. A good decision on our part.

This is a great system but installing it is a difficult project and I think probably not for the average DIY enthusiast. That said I am 72 years old, not a professional contractor and I did the whole design and install myself. But counting removing the old hood and the various construction elements required in the attic it took about 30 hours for the job. I had a good plan and all of the tools including chopsaw, table saw, nail guns, compressor, impact driver, and most importantly a chain hoist to raise the hood into the attic.
