The acrylic material holds up well on the top rack of the dishwasher and has been virtually unbreakable in the hands of my husband who is notorious for accidentally breaking fragile dishware. My only tip to you is to use a soft wash cloth if washing by hand. Anything abrasive like a scrubby will leave light scratch marks.

These are great plastic glasses for everyday use. They hold up well to top or bottom rack of the dishwasher %26 have had no issues with warping or disfiguring. They are not too thin, but not thick enough to be unwieldy. They seem like they would be good for outdoor use also as they are durable, but we just use them as everyday use.
