Yeti 21070160002 Rambler Bottle Straw Cap

I bought this to replace the standard cap and it is wonderful, however a word or two of caution is warranted. Although hot drinks and soft drinks are not recommended, we have successfully used them with this lid IF YOU REMOVE THE STRAW. If you don't remove the straw, pressure builds up and forces the liquid (hot or carbonated) into the straw when you flip the lid open. Altitude changes will also affect the pressure.

I don't use the straws at all, just the top and it has worked fine. No leaks as long as its fully closed. I bought my boys each their own yeti 18oz bottles with their name on it for school. They are beyond excited to have their own Yeti's! I do not think I would have bought the bottles for them if not for this top since they are still young and taking the original lid on and off had the potential for major spills the teachers probably would not have appreciated!
