This stuff works just fine for putting an orange peel look on a wall so when you paint it, it's not obvious that there was a problem there because there's a smooth spot. However, read the instructions practice first. Hold the can at the distance it says on the label, not where you think it should probably be. The makers of this stuff no more than you do. Finally pay attention to how to clean the nozzle after you're done using it so you might be able to use it again. And remember, if you mess up, you can always let it dry, sand it off, and try again.
