Hang it up!

This smart home thermostat works great. Only one sticky issue! The manner in which the main panel attaches to the wall plate Sucks! How stupid it almost falls off any time you touch it manually. It dose not snap or lock in to place firmly and securely on the wall plate! Get a better quick release connection guys! The rest of the design is awesome! You can do better!

Think twice and buy once

I've had luck with the Sensi app and thermostat for two years. I had locked the app because of my stepdaughter. I change my router, and I was unable to unlock it. I tried Support Google search to no avail. Yes, I tried to factory reset which does not work I just decided to buy the exact same model so I didn't have to change my wall plate. I set that up last night. Sometime today, my thermostat decided to show that it was 49° in the house and 119% humidity. I still have my old Thermostat, even though it was locked. I put that on so the air-conditioning could pop on and I didn't bake. I decided to purchase one and return that one. I'm stuck with the old one at this point, but I marked that up to bad judgement. If you're curious, I want the Honeywell smart colour thermostat. Two pictures to Pac I old thermostat blocked and the new thermostat with the temperature of 49°.

To manually unlock the Sensi, there needs to be an “X” on the upper left-hand corner of the thermostat display. This indicates that the thermostat is disconnected from the router. You may need to first unplug the router, and then try to unlock the Sensi. • Disconnect the router from power (if necessary). • Once the thermostat is disconnected from the home network, wait a few minutes. • Press and hold the Menu and Up Arrow button for 5 seconds or until the lock icon disappears. • Release your fingers. • The lock should have gone away in the time you are holding the buttons. If the lock blinks instead of going away, then you will need to wait a few more minutes with the router unplugged before trying again.
