I now have three of these surge dectectors. The one that I just ordered and two that I bought at the store. These types are very good for televisions, computers, telephones etc. A friend told me about them, and I will also pass a good word along to others who ask me. They will protect items more than the single strips that I had.

Problems I have had with other brands: Failed, some of the plugs unusable, cannot OPEN some plugs, plugs hard to open for use, can only plug ONE into ONE outlet. This one has had NONE of those problems. U can easily close off or open individual plugs on this model with no problems. Where U plug it into your electrical outlet it is Flat like the others, but UNLIKE the others it has a curve to it so you can plug TWO of these into ONE outlet if needed. After years of use, have not had one of these CyberPowers go out on me. Folks, I am telling you, this is the one U want. Also, pay no attention to it being a 'Home Theater' one. If you need an extension for anything... if you need to protect ANY electrical appliance, then get this one. Nuff said. I Walmart's buyers were SMART, this is the brand they would stock in their stores.

Good product with one exception.
This is the 3rd CyberPower surge protector I've bought (2 different models). While the unit itself seems well made, for some reason they always use what feels like a cheap on/off switch. I turned off and on the first one everyday for about 8 mos. with no problem but I can't stop thinking about how flimsily the on/off switch feels. So if that isn't a problem for you then I recommend buying it.
