Good slick coating for easier swallowing
After the doctor suggested I take calcium and vitamin D, I did some research and bought these Citracal Petites. I read that if you take acid reducers, calcium citrate is the better form of calcium to take, which is what this product contains (many of the supplements available are calcium carbonate). While these are called "petites" they are not tiny. They are slightly larger than an extra strength acetaminophen caplet. I personally found them easy to swallow because they have a really slick coating. Thank goodness because I normally have trouble swallowing "horse pills". I will buy these again because they didn't make me feel yucky like some supplements do.

My Dr. advised me to take this exact brand of Calcium supplement because he advised that he thought this had a better quality of ingredients. I found that they had 2 sizes of pills, which is good, because the regular size, I thought, were huge!! I like that Walmart has a larger size bottle of pills for a much better price than I've seen anywhere else!! It's win-win!!!

Best Calcium
Although the bottle says "Petites", I was still surprised at how large these pills were since I have a problem swallowing large pills. These fooled me as they are coated and very easy to swallow without any problems for me. I will buy this supplement for Calcium from now on since it causes me no problems. One of the best things about Calcium Citrate +D3 is that you do not have to wait to take on a full stomach. It can also be taken on an empty stomach. My doctor recommended Calcium Citrate vs. Calcium Bicarbonate because the Citrate is easier on the body and to absorb.
