I am in love with these little pants, but let me reference by saying I am an adult. I often buy girls pants because they fit me better in the length. I read the reviews that said that the pants were long and ran large so for $8 why not take a shot! I typically wear a women's 4/6 and I am 5ft tall. I purchased size XL 14/16 and these fit me absolutely perfect! So keep that in mind when sizing these for a child! And like the other reviews mentioned, the smell is extremely strong. I am soaking them and vinegar as we speak hopefully that will help.

These were purchased for my mother who is older. She is small in stature and weight. She was looking for soft pants that were like jeans. These fit the bill great she loved them. When I went back for more they were sold out. The material is almost like a denim sweat-pant soft and flowing with the wider leg.
