Keep your pets out of flower beds, water features and other outdoor spaces with the PetSafe Pawz Away Outdoor Pet Barrier system. The system comes with a cleverly disguised transmitter that blends into your landscape plus a receiver collar for your pet. When your pet enters the barrier zone you set up, the transmitter sends a safe static correction to his receiver collar. The system has a wireless setup option that protects a circular area up to 16 feet away. You can also create a custom shaped barrier using up to 150 feet of boundary wire (sold separately). You can add an unlimited number of pets to the system if theyre wearing a PetSafe Pawz Away Receiver Collar (additional collars sold separately). Radio Systems Corporation, owner of the PetSafe Brand, (hereinafter referred to as ?PetSafe?) warrants to the original retail consumer purchaser who purchased a PetSafe product from an authorized dealer of PetSafe products, and not any other purchaser or subsequent owner, that its PetSafe product, when subject to normal and proper residential use, will be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the purchase date. An ?original retail consumer purchaser? is a person or entity who originally purchases the product, or a gift recipient of a new product that is unopened and in its original packaging. When serviced by PetSafe Customer Service, PetSafe covers labor and parts for the first year of ownership; after the first year, a service or upgrade charge will apply relative to replacement of the product, with new or refurbished items at PetSafe?s sole discretion.

Perfect for fencing issues
I bought this product because I own 150 acres, half of which is fenced for my horses and that's where I walk my dogs. Both ends of the fence are at the banks of a deep, wide creek, which, when low, allows the dogs to go around. I've managed to patch any other areas on higher ground though it's rough territory. The 16' diameter (8' radius) is only just enough for one end, but it IS enough. I've read the reviews, many of which are negative, and believe one reason for this is that the dogs have not been properly trained to respond to the beep. If one follows the training suggestions, it takes very little time for the dogs to understand the beep is a precursor to a stimulation. After that, they don't HAVE to be stimulated--they avoid the area where they hear the beep.
