The filter ran loud out of the box. I called aqueon customer service and a replacement impeller was shipped to me immediately. Replacing this piece took less than a minute. The filter now runs so quietly, I forget it's in the room. My water parameters are perfect. My fish are healthy. I would recommend this filter.
