Sunny Health Manual Treadmill

This treadmill is perfect for our small apartment. It's foldable, and movable. It's quite sturdy. Because it's manual - I feel I sweat even more. It's really good and the price is reasonable.

AWESOME!! Exactly what I hoped for (and wanted)

So far I am seriously impressed with the quality of this treadmill - and at such a low price! I paid $56 LESS than the usual listed price (thanks to a pre-christmas sale, which was awesome), but I would have been equally happy with it at full price. Everything came VERY well packaged, assembly is clearly spelled out in the directions, all the nuts and bolts came in a blister pack with all the different sizes clearly labelled to match the assembly directions (as opposed to everything being loose in a single bag with no identifiers), all the tools you need are ALSO provided, as is a small bottle of lubricant for the belt and a set of batteries for the fitness monitor (which works great, btw). I'm a small female, 65 years old, with a bad back, back knees, and bad shoulders, and I was able to unbox everything and put it together from start to finish all by myself in under an hour (and the only reason it took THAT long is because it's almost impossible for me to stoop/bend over or go on my knees, so I had to be quite creative during assembly) The treadmill deck is a very sturdy steel frame with two heavy steel flywheels, and the handlebar support assembly is heavy steel as well. All of the steel components have been beautifully finished - no rough or unfinished edges anywhere - and all the bolt holes are machined just right so everything lines up as it should. My ONLY quibble would be that one set of assembly bolts comes with nylon nuts (metal nuts would have been far better, it's possible to strip or even crack nylon nuts if over-tightened). Function is completely as expected (I owned a manual treadmill decades ago so knew what it entails). It did take take a few moments to get my "sea legs" under me as there's a bit of a learning curve with a manual treadmill since its ability to function smoothly depends entirely on YOUR focus and walking/running cadence rather than an electric motor, but I'm sure it will only get better as I get more practice (and, honestly, having to focus to make it work seems to make it much less mind-numbingly boring than an electric treadmill). In addition to walking AND lightly jogging, I also experimented with walking backwards (do-able) and holding onto the handlebar in different places (you must hold the handlebars for the treadmill to work properly, although I see a couple comments about tying yourself to the handlebars with a belt in order to keep your hands free, so I'm going to be giving that a try too). I also raised the rear of the treadmill by putting very stable 4" high wood blocks under each rear leg in order to decrease the incline quite a bit (as was mentioned to do in other comments) and slow down the speed of the belt. Doing so did make the front a little less solid feeling and a little more wobbly (because the front is not longer completely touching the floor in its entirety), but it isn't wobbly enough for me to feel unsafe. Hopefully I'll be able to reduce the height of the blocks (and even remove them altogether), which will increase the incline of the treadmill, as my ability improves. My only caution would be when applying silicone to the deck under the belt - it's impossible to see how much lubricant is being applied and it's easy to OVER apply, making for an extremely fast moving belt (as I discovered - whoa Nelly!!). I ended up having to wipe down the deck under the belt with a clean cloth to try and remove some of the lubricant and tone down the speed :-0 In future I'll put a bit of lubricant on a clean cloth and apply it by wiping it onto the deck underneath the belt rather than reaching in with a bottle where I can't see anything and squirting an unknown quantity onto the deck. And I REALLY appreciate having the grip strips on either side of the track for help with getting on and off the treadmill in a safer, more controlled manner - especially when the belt was initially WAY too slippy/fast! All told, I'm totally chuffed with my new toy and look forward to using it every day (no more scary ice covered winter sidewalks for me, yaaay!!)

Great machine

I received this treadmill about 8 days ago and am loving it. The assebly was not too difficult. The incline is a little steep but that can be adjusted by raising the back end as needed. I have had high blood pressure for years and after 1 week of using this machine for a total 2 hours a day my blood pressure has come down close to normal. This unit is small enough to fit into the corner of my living room and can easily be folded up and moved if needed. I am planning to take it out on the deck on nice days. So far I am very happy with my purchase.
