Cheaper than name brand

I bought this as a cheaper alternative to sure gel. Very sastified with it. My first 2 batches of pepper jelly set up very kicesly and were good as aoon as done water bathing. The last batch did not however, and took a couple days to set up right. This could possibly just be a user error as like i said the first 2 bathces were just fine. Did not notice any odd or off taste with it and everybody who has tried it has loved it.

I had to order MCP pectin as I made two batches of strawberry jam with sure jell and both batches did Not set up. So I had to order MCP as wal mart didn't have any in store. made two more batches of strawberry jam and both set up like they were suppose to. I get so tired of crap now days!!!!

This is much easier to use them regular pectin. However, the instructions seem to be off a bit. I need to double the recipe for a single packet of this pectin or the jam is overly solid and sticky.
