I've known for years that salicylic acid is one of the best,cheapest ways of reducing a blemish and giving your face a slight peel to unclog pores. I could not use much of it because I use Retin-A and that product will expholiate enough.Now that I'm a lot older I don't have to use Retin-A as much so I found this product a few months back. I just wanted a straight up salicylic acid formula with no frills. This is a terrific product for what it says-spot treatment. It would probably work on moderate acne but the size is so small.Now,if I get a little bump here and there I use this product.It DOES work quickly and with minimal very minimal irritation. The only time I had red skin was when I layered it on a couple stubborn spots on my forehead.At 53 I still get a couple zits once and awhile.The acne products on the market have improved so much.....but some are STILL so dreadful.I will always bless my mother for taking my severe acne seriously and getting help.Neutrogena has come a long way.
